Featured Video: Trev Rich – “They Say”

Today, Colorado’s own Trev Rich dropped the first visual to his upcoming project “Rain In The Summer”. The video, titled “They Say” is one of the most creative HipHop videos we’ve seen in a while.  As always Trev manages to lay one of the hottest verses and hook over another Brinky beat (@BrinkyBeats).

If you’ve never heard of him before you can catch him at this years sold out KS1075 Summer Jam with the likes of Kendrick Lamar, Juicy J, August Alsina, Sage The Gemini, Tech N9ne, Kid Ink, IAMSU, and Iggy Azalea.

Featured Song: Roo & The Howl – “Lay Me Down”

“Lay Me Down” by Roo and The Howl feels like rain. Some songs are crafted for sunny days; others meld with melancholy mists. Bekah’s eerie soprano activates hidden wistful desires within me. I find myself mourning a loss I didn’t know existed. The deliberate melody of “Lay Me Down” mimics the recurring contemplations of loneliness. A certain solace and companionship floats out from the lyrics though. “Lay Me Down” reassures that no matter the distress; music always understands.

Featured Video: AP – “Dead Weight”

In case you’ve never heard of AP before, we can certainly vouch that he’s one of the best lyricists in the state of Colorado. His new video to his single “Dead Weight” is pretty dope too. Directed by D. Hayes, it depicts some crisp visuals in a mafia style ambiance. Colorado’s own, Splyt, drops a freestyle to Lil Wayne & Drake’s “Believe Me” track. Quite honestly the only thing separating these two tracks is the fame. Splyt’s lyrical ability is ever evolving and this freestyle is a good representation of what he’s capable of delivering.

Featured Song: A’Dula – “The Ruler”

A’Dula (Aye-Do-Luh), formerly known as ACE, debuted on the Colorado music scene back in the Summer of  2012 with her first mixtape, titled Propaganda. Since then she has been exploiting her talents as an MC and gaining traction in this crowded Colorado rap game.
