Featured Album: Roo & The Howl – “ME/WE”

Roo & The Howl’s newest project, ME/WE, is one of those albums that comes along once in a blue moon to remind us what music can really do. From sad and somber tunes to the ones that can remind you of your own inner strength, ME/WE has songs that will really reach all parts of your heart. I was especially blown away by “Walk On”. While these tracks have a folk music feel to them this music is meant to have a little something for everybody. The vocals and instrumentals work together to create the right kind of peaceful music that will be welcomed on anyone’s playlist.

Featured Album: Late Night Radio – “Soap Box”

Alex Medellin, or Late Night Radio as you may know him, has come forth and just dropped his newest and first album through Super Best Records. This infant of a record label is already lookin’ like a strong and healthy young man, with Mux Mool‘s  “Appetite For Production,” and LNR’s “Soap Box,” dropping within three days of each other. This soulful, genre-melting project that LNR has put together is a wonderful example of why we love the ruckus that the whole Super Best squad brings. With tracks ranging from thoughtful soul-searcher’s like “Forever In A Day,” to chunky mid-tempo jams like “Tree Trunks,” the album shows a sonic eclecticness perfect for all lovers of music, especially those electro hip-hop enthusiasts. Like a speaker on a podium, LNR stands atop his own”Soap Box” to deliver a message both positive and pleasing to the ear, make sure to give it a listen.

Sad Night At Red Rocks: 3 Injured After Shooting

shooting at red rocks in denver

Denver, Colorado –

Last night following Feed The Rocks fundraising concert at Red Rocks Amphitheater, 3 people were injured when gun fire rang out in the parking lot. Initially The Denver Police Twitter account (@DenverPolice) reported that they were responding to a shooting at 6th and Kalamath. The authorities later confirmed that both scenes were related.

According to officials, a vehicle which was targeted by gunfire fled Red Rocks and drove to 6th and Kalamath where police were called for assistance.

All injured parties in the vehicle were moved to nearby hospitals.

Jeffco Police searched every single vehicle as they left the park.

Various people who attended the concert tweeted that California rapper School Boy Q was the target of the assailants. Neither police, Feed The Rocks or School Boy Q’s team have released a statement confirming or denying that allegation.

However, multiple photos taken by @Karlgehring show a person who looks strikingly familiar to School Boy Q being detained by police at 6th and Kalamath. Another photo shows the victims white SUV with bullet holes in the front windshield.

Anyone with information regarding the shooting should call Jeff Co investigator’s tip line at 303-271-5612

Featured Song: Triad Dragons – “Chaos”

“Chaos” may well be that song of the summer this year. You know, the one you hear at every EDM festival, concert, and house party because it spanks the shit out of every sound system it puts it’s hands on. Massive is the word that comes to mind, and probably the soft-synth responsible for most of the sounds in the track – you can almost feel your inner rave-girl bouncing around in fuzzy boots and neon fishnets. All jokes aside, “Chaos,” is nothing short of anthemic. Triad Dragons, like the Colorado based entertainment company they are named after,  love to party hard, “Chaos” is proof of that.
